CV/Bio
I have been painting for most of my life, initially inspired by my dad who bought me my first set of oil paints, brushes and canvases when I was eleven. After graduating from Boston University in 1972 with English Education and Art History majors I spent a summer with a small group of artists in Rockport, Massachusetts studying under the supervision of the American Impressionist, John Terelak. In 1982, I completed the Graphic Design Certificate Program at the University of Cincinnati School of Design, and worked for many years as an illustrator in the greeting card industry. Since 1983, I've continually enjoyed taking courses in illustration, watercolor and computer art at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Rhode Island Watercolor Society.
I am a member of the Portsmouth Arts Guild, Bristol Art Museum and am an Artist member of the Rhode Island Water Color Society. Since 2006 I have been juried into a number of exhibits locally and regionally.
